Created in 2013 by Cheryl Daro & Mark Shunock, Mondays Dark is Vegas’ premiere variety show for a cause. Twice a month, Mondays Dark gathers an eclectic cast of guests—including musical acts and stars from Hollywood and The Strip—for 90 minutes of chat, entertainment and a lot of laughs.

The mission of Mondays Dark is to raise $10K in 90 minutes. The $20 variety show has become one of the hottest tickets in town and the list of charities waiting to partner with Mondays Dark continues to grow. Partnering with 100 local organizations, Mondays Dark has raised over 1 million dollars and every penny has stayed here in Las Vegas.

Mondays Dark has been named “Best of the City” and “Best of Vegas” numerous times over its seven year existence. In addition, Shunock received the Angel Award for Cultural Advocate/Entertainer of the Year Award from Vegas Inc., Best Philanthropist Award from LV Review Journal, as well as The Impact Award from the Association of Fundraising Professionals Las Vegas Chapter.

He earned a Best Supporting Actor Helen Hayes Award nomination for for his performance as Timon in Disney’s The Lion King.

He earned a Best Supporting Actor Helen Hayes Award nomination for for his performance as Timon in Disney’s The Lion King. He recently starred in the smash hit Rock of Ages playing at the Venetian/Palazzo and as the MC in the sexy smash Magic Mike Live at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. He is currently the in-arena host for the Vegas Golden Knights of the National Hockey League and for Bob Arum’s Top Rank Boxing.

By December of 2019, Mondays Dark will have partnered with its 100th charity and will have raised $1 million dollars for Las Vegas.

Mondays Dark has been named “Best of the City” by Vegas Seven and “Best of Vegas” by Las Vegas Weekly. In addition, Shunock received the 2014 Angel Award for Cultural Advocate/Entertainer of the Year and recently won Best Philanthropist from “Best of Las Vegas” as well as the Las Vegas Review Journal and the Impact Award from the Association of Fundraising Professionals Las Vegas Chapter for Mondays Dark.
